Rep. Chip Roy, a member of the whacko Freedom caucus since 2019, stood up moments ago and nominated Rep. Byron Donalds to be the new Speaker of the House.
Kevin McCarthy is off to another bad start, but so is the entire Republican caucus.
“Yesterday my first vote for speaker of the house was for Byron Donalds. Today, I’m rising to nominate Byron Donalds for Speaker of the House Representatives,” Roy said.
Roy said since Donalds loves his family dearly that makes him a credible Speaker of the House and then he pretended to channel Martin Luther King.
“Now, here we are in for the first time in history, there have been two Black Americans placed in nomination for Speaker of the House.”
In 2021, Donalds was part of the treasonous attempt to overthrow the presidential election when he voted to object to the certification of electors from Arizona and Pennsylvania the 2020 general election.
To put Donalds’ name up for nomination is another slap in the face for Kevin McCarthy, but also a another black eye for the Republican Party as they turn voting for the Speaker of the House into a complete clown show farce.
