Without Saying His Name, Dem Lawmaker Takes GOPer To The Woodshed

Rep. Daniel Goldman calmly ripped Republicans a new one on the House floor over their latest attempt to interfere with Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation. Smith oversees the criminal investigations into the retention of classified documents at former President Donald Trump’s Florida resort, Mar-a-Lago, and parts of the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection.

Republicans, Goldman noted, are doing this to protect themselves while also doing Trump’s bidding. He called it a “shocking abuse of power.” Without saying his name, he brought up Rep. Scott Perry, who has refused to vow to recuse himself from serving on the potential panel looking into federal investigations of the Capitol riot—even though he is linked to the probe.

“A member from Pennsylvania had his cell phone seized pursuant to a court order finding probable cause that he committed a crime,” he said. “Yet he’s indicated that he wants to be on this subcommittee so he can undermine a criminal investigation into himself.”

This guy:

Just for funsies, let’s look at the difference between a Republican Congress member and Goldman.

And Rep. Drunky McDrunkFace:

One is doing his job, and the other is standing by his gas stove with a gun, daring Biden to come and take it.
