The Drain the Swamp fabulist spoke at the wholly corrupt National Rifle Association’s event on Saturday in Dallas, Texas, and went on to brag about doing absolutely “nothing” about gun violence. Trump is very proud of that, just as he is proud of overturning Roe. Trump can’t feel empathy, and he’s sucking up to the NRA out of desperation for votes to keep him out of prison. And all of this for an organization that has lost an incredible amount of memberships.
“Perhaps worst of all, even as they turn America into a crime-ridden, gang-infested, terror-filled dumping ground, Joe Biden and his thugs will do everything in their power to confiscate your guns and annihilate your God-given right to self-defense,” Trump falsely said. “You have a right to self-defense. You’ve always had that right.”
“And during my four years, nothing happened,” Trump correctly said. “And there was great pressure on me having to do with guns.”
“We did nothing,” he added. “We didn’t yield. And once you yield a little bit, that’s just the beginning.”
Like for example, to put this in another perspective, if politicians don’t “yield” to do something to fix the gun violence problem, then more children will die. Americans are dying on the street. So, we couldn’t get them to yield, and there has been a lot of death. I’m glad he brought that up. Trump, like the NRA, has blood all over their hands. It takes bravery for elected officials to stand up to the gun lobby, which has made anyone who tried to fix gun violence out to be a ‘gun grabber.’ We see you.
By the way, the NRA describes itself as a human rights group. I just had to mention that. It’s so weird. Like, Bizarro World weird.
