It was a glorious day for America and for democracy.
Donald Trump was indicted on 38 counts–including 31 having to do with the Espionage Act — for illegally obtaining, lying about and refusing to give back classified documents. These documents deal with topics like the United State’s nuclear capability, weapons systems, foreign countries’ weapons systems and U.S. vulnerabilities! Sure seems like the kind of stuff some unscrupulous person might want to trade or sell to foreign adversaries.
The reaction to Trump’s indictment by Republicans & right-wing media has been pathetic, but also about what you’d expect from today’s GOP. Downplaying the crime, pretending Biden was behind the indictment, and in the case of Rep. Clay Higgins, tweeting out some things that make it seem like his brain may be broken.
