Fox News’ “The Five” co-host Jesse Watters continues to make his push to replace Tucker Carlson — by explaining Republicans need to either put a Trump loyalist in charge of the FBI or have dirt to blackmail the next director.
Because THAT’S law and order, folks!
At the top of the hour, Watters launched into an unhinged diatribe against Hillary, President Biden, and the FBI. All of Fox has been painting John Durham’s “where’s the beef” report as a something-burger. (Zero indictments, folks.)
Even for MAGA true believers like Steve Bannon, Durham’s efforts have been a massive disappointment.
Watters repeated many of Trump’s talking points against Hillary Clinton relating to her emails, and then he came up with a solution.
Watters said defunding the FBI is never going to happen, no matter what Republicans claim.
“They need to appoint a loyalist as FBI director,” Watters said. “Kind of the way JFK appointed his brother to run the Justice Department.”
“You either need a loyalist, or you need some guy that you have so much dirt on that he wouldn’t even try anything,” Watters proclaimed.
Promoting blackmail to control law enforcement officials is right up Donald Trump’s alley.
Trump put in loyalists, and that helped incite an insurrection at the US Capitol.
The entire Republican apparatus these days merely exists to cover up Trump’s crimes.
