‘Death And Destruction’: Trump Kicks Violent Rhetoric Up A Notch

Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social at about 1:30 in the morning to lash out again at Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. The one-term president has targeted every top official investigating him in his rage posts, calling for their removal.

Trump has been calling for violence, and Republicans seem OK with that. Trump is leading in the polls, so his supporters don’t seem to take issue with his rhetoric. On Thursday, Trump posted a link containing a photo of himself with a baseball bat next to a picture of Bragg.

Lumpy is getting worse. This time, he’s saying that if he is charged with crimes, there will be “potential death and destruction.”

“What kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former President of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting President in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a Crime, when it is known by all that NO Crime has been committed, & also known that potential death & destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our Country?” he asked. “Why & who would do such a thing? Only a degenerate psychopath that truely hates the USA!”

Trump is projecting in that last sentence. I’ve never witnessed a President in my lifetime dripping with disdain for this country — until Trump. Thankfully, his calls for protests didn’t work out. Only a handful of Trump supporters showed up in New York City, and counterprotesters outnumbered them.

However, Trump sycophants are normalizing the scandal-plagued President’s violent rhetoric.
