Cringeworthy: Gaetz Schools Trump On How To Get Women To Vote For Him

Since federal prosecutors have recommended not to bring charges against Rep. Matt Gaetz as part of a sex trafficking investigation, I guess the Florida lawmaker thinks it’s OK for him to give former President Donald Trump advice on how to get women to vote for him if they don’t like him. Meanwhile, it was just revealed that Trump falsely claimed in a recent deposition that his accuser, E. Jean Carroll, once said in an interview that she “loved” being sexually assaulted.

Trump has been accused of rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment, including non-consensual kissing or groping, by at least 25 women. Gaetz was accused of the sex trafficking of a minor. Maybe guys accused of sexual assault should shut the f*ck up about women. But that’s just me.

Rep. Rapey McForehead said in an interview that he told Trump that he has to do something to convince women who don’t like him as a person to vote for him anyway. Gaetz argued that one way to do that is to choose newly minted Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders or South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as his running mate.

Sure, they’re totally serious politicians. One of Sanders’ first actions as Governor was to sign an executive order prohibiting “indoctrination and Critical Race Theory in schools.”

Noem has been super busy, too.

The proposal, though, was rejected on the grounds that local tribes oppose the fireworks.

The best way to get women’s votes is to quit lording over their bodies, telling them what choices they can make with their bodies. And maybe have a candidate that isn’t accused of sexually assaulting women.
