President Donald Trump is facing heat for his latest attack on one of the female journalists who cover him and his administration.
“You are the worst reporter,” Trump scolded CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Tuesday. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile.”

Collins had asked the president about justice for victims of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was once his close friend.
Trump, who was mentioned thousands of times in the Epstein files released by the Justice Department, claimed that “nothing came out about me” and said it was time for the country to move on to “something that people care about.”
Collins then asked Trump what he would say to Epstein survivors who feel they haven’t gotten justice:

“You are the worst reporter,” Trump fired back. “CNN has no ratings because of people like you. You know, she’s a young woman ― I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. I’ve known you for 10 years, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smile on your face.”
Collins tried to interject that she was asking about Epstein survivors, but Trump kept going.
“You know why you’re not smiling? Because you’re not telling the truth,” Trump said. “You’re a very dishonest organization, and they should be ashamed of you.”

While Trump has a long history of attacking reporters, his response to Collins was part of a pattern of being especially aggressive toward the women who cover him. He previously described Collins as “always Stupid and Nasty,” berated another CNN reporter over what he called a “stupid question,” asked CBS News White House correspondent Nancy Cordes if she was “a stupid person,” and insulted Bloomberg’s Catherine Lucey with a now-infamous “Quiet, piggy!”
