Conway has built serious anti-Trump cred after being offered a spot in his first administration.
Last week, after Trump’s unhinged comments about Rob Reiner following the director’s death, Conway wrote:” I know I’ve been beating this drum for over seven years now, but @realDonaldTrump is a very and truly sick man who should be in a mental or penal institution and certainly not the White House.”
Politico reported that Conway had tested the campaign waters by hiring a Democratic pollster to weigh whether a run would be viable.
Nadler, now in his 17th term, announced in September that he would not seek reelection for his Manhattan district.
The most prominent name among Conway’s likely opponents in a Democratic primary would be Jack Schlossberg, grandson of John F. Kennedy.
