‘Unheard Of’: Ex-Trump Aide Talks Boebert Being Taken Into Situation Room Over Epstein

Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former aide to President Donald Trump who has since become a co-host on “The View,” said Thursday that it’s “unheard of” for someone like Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) to be taken to the White House Situation Room over a mere petition.

Boebert was summoned to the White House room for an emergency meeting Wednesday after backing a discharge petition to force a vote on releasing files tied to Jeffrey Epstein — the late sex offender Trump palled around with — which she nonetheless continued to do.

“That’s unheard of,” Griffin, former Trump White House director of strategic communications during Trump’s first term, said Thursday. “The only time I’ve been in the Situation Room is for national security matters, during the coronavirus response.”

Boebert’s meeting Wednesday regarded newly released email correspondence between Trump and Epstein, who died behind bars while awaiting federal sex trafficking charges and said Trump “knew about the girls” he was victimizing — and the petition Boebert supported to force a House vote on releasing the remaining classified Epstein files. Boebert was one of only four House Republicans to sign the petition.

“Listen, there was so much to unpack from this, I wasn’t even sure where to begin,” Griffin said Thursday. “But one thing that stood out to me is how the White House has handled this Epstein saga from Day 1.”

Trump notably avoided taking questions from the press in the Oval Office after the emails were released.

Boebert later thanked her fellow government officials on social media for meeting with her.

“If you’re somebody who is skeptical of Donald Trump’s involvement, you think that he was in some way aligned with him, they’re denying that he is — so their actions should match that,” said Griffin. “And it feels like every action he takes makes them look more guilty.”

Griffin also noted that people are only taken to the Situation Room during high-caliber events, such as the operation to kill Osama bin Laden. She then wagered Trump’s documented ties to Epstein will “follow” Republicans into the midterm elections next year.

“And it’s going to follow their conscience,” she concluded.
