Joe Rogan appeared to get faked out by a phony Truth Social post in which President Donald Trump issued a witty jab that said “thank you” to “No Kings” protesters.
“They think Donald Trump is behaving like a king … because he ran on a platform and was elected and won every swing state and the popular vote,” Rogan said on his show released Wednesday. “And then once he got in, he did exactly what he said he was going to do.”
“And then he let them protest, which is also what a king does,” Rogan continued to his vast lad universe. “No, he didn’t send the troops to stop the protest. In fact, he congratulated them on doing a great job.” Rogan noted how “fucking hilarious” the “tweet” was and instructed staff to call it up.
The post he referred to is a faux Truth Social screen-grab entry that made the rounds:
“A HUGE THANK YOU to all the No Kings protesters yesterday! I was very concerned a king was trying to take my place, but thanks to your tireless efforts, I AM STILL YOUR PRESIDENT, great job all!” the post read.
It impressed Donald Trump Jr. as well but apparently didn’t dupe him. “It’s not real but it should be,” the president’s son wrote with the screengrab on Instagram.
Trump called the protests to his authoritarian rule “small” and “ineffective” with “whacked-out” participants, and shared an AI video of him dumping excrement on the activists.
