‘Oh My God!’: Fake Melania’s ‘Late Show’ Chat Goes Off The Rails After Epstein Mention

Actor Laura Benanti returned to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Monday to reprise her crowd-favorite role as Melania Trump.

Colbert asked “Melania” about a proposal suggesting the Kennedy Center’s opera house could be renamed in her honor.

“Oh, it is such an honor. I cannot wait to change my name to Melania Kennedy,” she quipped.

But when Colbert steered the conversation toward Donald Trump’s onetime friend, the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the fake Melania suddenly claimed to experience technical difficulties.

“You can’t suddenly disappear when things get uncomfortable,” Colbert told her. “Oh, yes, I can, Stephen,” she replied, before being beamed off the screen.

“Oh my God!” Colbert exclaimed. “She actually did it!”
