Fox News Host Questions RFK Jr. Over ‘Inappropriate’ Olivia Nuzzi Scandal: ‘Any Regrets?’

Fox News host Martha MacCallum questioned Robert F. Kennedy Jr. about what she called his “inappropriate” relationship with New York Magazine’s star Washington correspondent Olivia Nuzzi on Wednesday.

″[She] was covering your campaign, it’s gotten a lot of attention. So what do you say to your supporters who question your behavior and want to know what’s going on?” asked MacCallum toward the end of a live interview with the former presidential candidate and conspiracy theorist.

Kennedy, who has denied meeting Nuzzi outside of her work on a profile about him for the magazine in 2023, said he doesn’t comment on “those kind of stories” before shuffling off to other topics.

“If you want to talk about health or how to end the war in Ukraine or how to end inflation or how to end the censorship and surveillance regime, I’m happy to talk about —,” he said.

“But, as a person, or do you have any regrets about any —,” MacCallum interjected.

“Like I said, I don’t make comments on it,” Kennedy replied.

MacCallum gave Kennedy an opportunity to address the scandal that reportedly involved Nuzzi sending “demure” nudes to him in a relationship that the New York Magazine reporter described as “never physical.”

“You seem to be surrounded by scandals and old stories that keep coming up about animals and all of this,” MacCallum noted earlier in the interview.

A report on the scandal from over the weekend found that Kennedy, who is married to former “Curb Your Enthusiasm” co-star Cheryl Hines, bragged to friends about the intimate pictures that Nuzzi sent him and word eventually got to New York Magazine Editor-in-Chief David Haskell.

Journalist Oliver Darcy first reported on the scandal in his Status newsletter.

Nuzzi, in a meeting with Haskell, initially denied the relationship before confirming it took place, reports say. She’s since been placed on leave by the magazine.

Nuzzi, in a statement to CNN’s Brian Stelter on Thursday, acknowledged that she had a relationship with a “former reporting subject” that “should have been disclosed to prevent the appearance of a conflict.”

New York Magazine announced last week that Nuzzi, while reporting on the campaign, violated the magazine’s standards.

The scandal has left some in the New York Magazine newsroom shocked, sources told Business Insider, while the publication’s parent company — Vox Media — warned staff earlier this week to stay quiet on the scandal.
