I’m not sure what they’re putting in the water in Lee County, Florida, but shame on them for making this scandal-plagued idiot an honorary sheriff.
This is the same clown that was caught trying to carry a gun through airport security in 2022, and that rear-ended a patrol car in Florida and injured the trooper this April.
Sheriff Deputizes Former GOP Rep. Madison Cawthorn After Crashing Into Florida Trooper:
Former GOP Rep. Madison Cawthorn announced that he has been “sworn in as an honorary deputy” in Lee Country, Florida where he currently resides. Cawthorn moved to Florida from North Carolina after being defeated in the 2022 GOP primary.
Cawthorn wrote that “local, constitutional, law enforcement that answers to the people is what our founding fathers intended.” Cawthorn also noted that, “the Lee County sheriff’s office puts the fear of God into those who wish ill on our community.”
Cawthorn then exclaimed, “Excited to serve!” The honorary deputization comes just over 1 month after Cawthorn carelessly slammed into a Florida Highway Patrol car. A witness captured video from the scene.
