IL-04 (D), OH-13 (R): Two AP calls back to back. In Illinois’ dark blue 4th District, Rep. Chuy Garcia easily turns back a challenge from his right from Chicago Alderman Raymond Lopez; Garcia currently leads 69-31.
And in Ohio’s competitive 13th District, former state Sen. Kevin Coughlin, who self-funded much of his campaign, easily turns back the rest of the GOP primary field. He’ll face first-term Democratic Rep. Emilia Sykes in this seat in the Akron and Canton areas.
