Welp, Donald J. Trump’s big mouth is costing him a lot of money. The former President went from owing E. Jean Carroll $5 million to owing the author $83.3 million — and he has no one to blame but himself, but I’m sure he’ll come up with someone. Hunter Biden, perhaps? To break it down, Trump owes $18.3 Million for actual damages and $65 million for punitive damages. If my big mouth (I admit I have a big mouth) cost me that kind of money, I’d have a surgeon sew it shut. Just saying.
Trump took to his Truth Social platform to respond in a more carefully worded message. It looks as if someone glanced over his “truth” before hitting the publish button — or whatever it’s called. I don’t know. I was banned from that bastion of free speech:(
“Absolutely ridiculous!” Trump allegedly wrote. “I fully disagree with both verdicts, and will be appealing this whole Biden Directed Witch Hunt focused on me and the Republican Party. Our Legal System is out of control, and being used as a Political Weapon. They have taken away all First Amendment Rights. THIS IS NOT AMERICA!”
Calm down there. This trial has nothing to do with President Joe Biden. If Trump hadn’t been so rapey in a department store, then he wouldn’t find himself in such a hot mess.
There is a reason he didn’t mention his victim’s name. With an $83.3 million verdict, perhaps Lumpy McFatMouth will stop defaming E. Jean Carroll.
