After viewing Fox News’ Tucker Carlson’s propaganda videos gaslighting the January 6 insurrection, failed gubernatorial MAGA candidate Kari Lake came up with a new conspiracy theory to sell the the cultists.
“This was not an insurrection,” Lake said to Steve Bannon. “This was meant, I believe, to stop what was happening in Congress, which was — there was going to be some balking at the 2020 election and how that was handled and they didn’t want that to go down so this all went in… and they tried to stage as an insurrection.”
“It’s outrageous.”
To follow Lake’s logic, the disgraced Arizona gubernatorial candidate claims that the deep state and the Democrats orchestrated a fake insurrection because President Biden was afraid that when Pence officially tallied electoral votes, there was going to be some complaints about it from Republicans.
