Fox and Friends co-host Steve Doocy proclaimed Elon Musk can solve train derailments by creating a Tesla train, but then gets punked by his own network when they ran a segment on thousands of Teslas being recalled.
Fox News brought on Ohio Republican Warren Davidson to discuss train derailments in his state, when the Fox & Friends co-host came up with a novel plan to modernize America’s rail lines and at the same time, praise right-wing troll Elon Musk and Tesla.
Rep. Davidson said he expects hearings in Congress in the near future.
“What they need to do, they need to call Elon Musk, have Elon Musk come up with a Tesla train, and that thing could stop on a dime cause he can come up with stuff like that,” Doocy proclaimed.
Wow. Elon Musk is Superman! Except, he’s not.
Later in the same program, they did a quick hit on Tesla recalling cars.
“Tesla is recalling nearly 3500 vehicles after discovering loose bolts in the rear seat backs. The recall is for model Y vehicles made from May 2022 through last month.”
Oops.
I doubt loose bolts on a 149-car, 9,000-foot-long train is a solution, Steve.
Just like drinking bleach didn’t cure COVID.
