ABC News is reporting that Mike Pence will not be showing up the CPAC conference.
The decision by Pence, who is debating a 2024 presidential run, comes as other notable figures are absent from this year’s lineup.
Trump supporters hunted Pence at the US Capitol on January 6, and many of those attending Trump’s hateful speech at the Ellipse were also encouraged by many CPAC attendees, speakers, and loving supporters.
This could have been a good event for him to show up and mend the fences for Pence as he debates running for the presidency and would need support from the lunatics.
But it’s no surprise Pence refused to attend even as CPAC chairman Matt Schlapp is still embroiled in a sexual assault scandal that alleges he grabbed the junk of a male Herschel Walker staffer.
Since CPAC is the haven of all things MAGA, Gov. Ron DeSantis will not be appearing as well.
“It shouldn’t come as a surprise that CPAC is not attracting the big names that it once did. There’s a feeling within the Republican Party that CPAC has long abandoned the traditional values that it once stood for,” one GOP operative said.
Headliners are now Marjorie Taylor Greene and Kari Lake. Far, far-right nutjobs who either want a civil war or scream election fraud every five minutes.
