Axios is reporting that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy handed over 41,000 hours of US Capitol surveillance footage from the January 6 insurrection to Fox News’s Tucker Carlson. Carlson’s producers began sifting through the footage earlier this month.
What do we think Tucker’s producers are gonna do with that footage? Edit out all the Trump flags?
Last week, Dominion released a treasure trove of texts and emails exposing Tucker Carlson and the other Fox News hosts, producers and executives. Fox employees texted each other that 2020 was over, while lying to their viewers and repeating Trump’s 2020 election fraud claims, FOR RATINGS.
Fox later downplayed the entire January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol as a tourist event gone rogue. By the way, if January 6 was Antifa, does that mean Ashli Babbit was, too? But I digress.
As a reminder, in April of 2021, Carlson ranted for over ten minutes about the treatment of those arrested during the insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6, making believe it was just a bunch of older white people from the wrong zip code hanging out.
“They didn’t have guns, but a lot of them had extremely dangerous ideas. They talked about the Constitution, and something called their rights. Some of them made openly seditious claims. They insisted, for example, that the last election was not entirely fair.”
Hey Tucker, they also broke windows, beat up cops, and defecated in hallways.
In November of 2021, Tucker Carlson released a three-part miniseries called “Patriot Purge” which was essentially a whitewash of the January 6 insurrection in the “false flag” style of Alex Jones.
It’s obvious that a traitorous rewrite of the very successful January 6 Committee has been in the works by House Republicans even before Rep. McCarthy became Speaker.
The GOP thought they would have a red tsunami with the 2022 midterms. That was squelched in part by the January 6 Committee’s work.
McCarthy’s collusion with the propaganda wing of his party, Fox News, gives the network free reign to release highly edited, right-wing propaganda videos to the MAGA cult, gaslighting the entire Jan 6 insurrection.
