From pollsters putting out known bad research to everyone simply ignoring that the methods of collection data obviate entire generations of voters, we know that polls are pretty worthless. Television news media, however, holds these polls up like gospel.
The polls have been startlingly wrong election after election, but we trust them as they are the only scientific source of information.
