Former counsel in the Senate Judiciary Committee for committee chairs Orrin Hatch and Arlen Specter, Brett Tolman, said appointing a special counsel was a brilliant move by AG Garland.
Tolman is a frequent guest on Fox News and, in late June, celebrated the overturning of Roe v Wade with Mark Levin.
Fox News host Martha McCallum brought on a panel to discuss the latest development from the DOJ and asked his take on the appointment of Jack Smith.
“It’s a brilliant move if your assessment is political, and that’s definitely a brilliant move by Merrick Garland,” Tolman said.
“It is now out of his hand, and whichever way it goes, he no longer has to be the one that bears the decision-making…,” Tolman said.
Tolman then had to do his right-wing duty and claim it was all politics that this happened, ignoring the criminality behind the insurrection on January 6 and Trump hoarding top secret documents at Mar-A-Lago.
The Executive Director of the ‘Right on Crime‘ organization claimed it was a political move, but once Trump filed the paperwork to run in 2024, Garland had no other choice but to appoint a special counsel.
